LORI PEEK, professor of Sociology at the University of Colorado at Boulder and director of the Natural Hazards Center, will address the specific needs of children in disasters and will offer ideas to help reduce their vulnerability during a disaster.
The Rancho Mirage Emergency Preparedness Commission will share preparedness and safety tips on how parents and grandparents can teach the children they love about disaster readiness.
