The Community Emergency Preparedness Commission was established in 1998 to advise the City Council on matters pertaining to emergency services planning and emergency preparedness training within the City. The Commission consists of five (5) members and two (2) technical advisors who are appointed by the City Council. The Commission’s main purpose is to prepare and train Rancho Mirage residents and businesses for natural disasters, such as major earthquakes and floods. (Res. Mission Statement
The Mission of the Emergency Preparedness Commission is to motivate every person, business, and organization in the City of Rancho Mirage to take actions that reduce future disaster damages and enhance disaster preparedness, response, and recovery.

Meeting Schedule
The Emergency Preparedness Commission is regularly scheduled to meet monthly beginning at 2:30 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month, unless the meeting has been adjourned. Those interested in attending the meeting are encouraged to call City Hall at (760)-324-4511 to confirm the date/time.
