0132 hours – Weapons and Narcotics Possession Arrests: Deputies responded to Agua Caliente Casino, located at 32250 Bob Hope Drive, Rancho Mirage, regarding an armed subject call. Security advised they saw subjects appearing to complete a gun sale in the parking structure, via security cameras. The investigation encompassed the search of two vehicles and seizure of narcotics and weapons. Edgar Farfan, 31 of Blythe, and Christopher Farfan-Sosa, 37 of Cathedral City, were arrested for possession of narcotics for sales and possession of firearms. File #S193440002.

2000 hours – Stolen Vehicle Arrest: Deputies conducted a vehicle stop at Provence Way and Moet Court, Rancho Mirage. Pablo Gutierrez, 37 of Indio, was arrested for felony warrants and possession of a stolen vehicle. Gutierrez was booked at Indio Jail. File #S193440046 & #S193440047.

1145 hours – Identity Theft / Probation Violation Arrest: Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team (S.E.T.) and Burglary Suppression Unit (B.S.U.) conducted further investigation at the 9300 block of Calle Barranca, Desert Hot Springs.  They arrested Jacque Ferguson, 51 of Desert Hot Springs, for identity theft and probation violation.  Ferguson was transported to the Riverside County Jail in Banning. 1331 Hours – Arrest Warrant: Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team responded to the 71-700 block of San Jacinto, Rancho Mirage to assist code enforcement.  Deputies contacted arrested Irena Knorovsky, 64 of Rancho Mirage, for an outstanding extraditable felony warrant out of Arizona.  Knorovsky was transported to the Riverside County Jail in Banning. 2307 hours – Warrant Arrest: Deputies responded to the 100 block of Via Sienna, Rancho Mirage, reference a burglary in progress. A burglary did not occur, however, Robert Palmero, 50 of DHS, was contacted and arrested for a felony Assault on a Peace Officer warrant. He was booked at the Indio Jail. File #S193500065.

1719 hours – Fatal Traffic Collision: Deputies responded to the area of Highway 111 south of Frank Sinatra Drive, Rancho Mirage regarding a major injury traffic collision. The preliminary investigation revealed the vehicle was traveling southbound Highway 111 when it collided with a pedestrian in the roadway.  The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with deputies.  Currently, alcohol and/ or drugs do not appear to be a factor.  File #S193520044.
