0830 hours – Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Evading and Narcotics Arrest – Deputy Robertson attempted to stop a motorcycle near Bob Hope and Gerald Ford. The motorcycle accelerated and ran a red light. Deputy Robertson located the unoccupied vehicle around Bob Hope Dr. and Highway 111.  Deputies established a perimeter and located Moises Sanchez-Arias, 39 of Rancho Mirage, hiding on a rooftop. Sanchez-Arias was arrested for possession of a stolen motorcycle, possession of 14 grams of methamphetamine, possession of 6 grams of fentanyl, and felony evading.  Sanchez-Arias was booked into John Benoit Detention Center. 2149 Hours – Arrest Warrant Service – While conducting an area check in the 69500 block of Highway 111, Deputy Paull observed a subject pushing over several trash cans in the parking lot. Deputy Paull contacted and arrested Frank Lorett, 29 of Cathedral City, for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. Lorett was booked into John Benoit Detention Center. File #S222160067.

1210 hours – Arrest Warrant Service/Grand Theft Arrest – Members of the Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team, with the assistance of Deputy Robles, identified Joshua Barricklow, 29 of Palm Springs, as a suspect in a grand theft of pool equipment that occurred on July 31, 2022, within the city of Rancho Mirage. About 1210 hours, Deputy Lee, contacted and arrested Barricklow for five outstanding felony warrants. During an interview with the members of Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team, Barricklow confessed to the previous crime. Barricklow was transported and booked into the John Benoit Detention Center for his felony warrants. Additional charges were later added to Barricklow for grand theft. 1600 hours – Arrest Warrant Service– Members of the Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team conducted a vehicle check in the 32000 block of Bob Hope Drive. They contacted and arrested Juan Iturriagamolina, 33 of Indio, for three outstanding misdemeanor warrants. Iturriagamolina was booked into John Benoit Detention Center. File #S222200031.

1900 hours- Investigation Updated/Burglary Arrest – Members of the Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team conducted follow up investigation of four burglaries that occurred on July 13, 2022, within the city of Rancho Mirage. Members, with the assistance of Deputy Jacob Paull, identified the suspect as Juan Rodriguez, 31 of Cathedral City. Members interviewed Rodriguez, who is currently in custody at John Benoit Detention Center. Rodriguez confessed to the crimes. Additional charges were added for the four burglaries in which Rodriguez committed. File #’s S221940026 / S221940034 / S221940032.

1931 Hours–Arrest Warrant Service/Illegal Baton Arrest – Deputy Emmanuel Botello and Deputy Gabriel Garcia conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of Highway 111 and Peterson Road. The driver, Jennifer Berry, 35 of Palm Springs, was determined to have an outstanding misdemeanor drug warrant. During the traffic stop, deputies also discovered Berry was in possession of an illegal baton. Berry was arrested and booked into John Benoit Detention Center. File #S222200043

1953 Hours–Petty Theft Arrest– Deputy Devin Nelson responded to the report of a shoplifting at the 72000 block of Highway 111. The investigation determined Donald Lacey, 29 of Indio, stole merchandise from the business. Deputies from Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team located Lacey walking nearby. 0358 hours- Arrest Warrant Service/CVC arrest – Deputy Devin Nelson conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Ramon Rd and Bob Hope Dr. The driver, James Allen Pearson III, 43 of Monrovia, was arrested for 14601.1 CVC. The passenger, Felicia Ann Goodman, 43 of Monrovia, was arrested for an outstanding warrant. Both subjects were booked into the John Benoit Detention Center. File #S222210005, S222100007.

On August 12, 2022, Deputy Hindiyeh located and arrested Brown for spousal battery. Brown was interviewed, served with an Emergency Protective Order, and booked into the John Benoit Detention Center. He contacted and arrested Ashlyn Marie Ortega, 36-year-old resident of Rancho Mirage, for trespassing at the location. Further investigation determined Ortega was in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. She was arrested and booked into the John Benoit Detention Center. File #S222260018

0900 hours-Fraud/Identity Theft/Arrest Warrant Service arrest – The Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team conducted further investigation into multiple mail theft incidents that occurred between January 20, 2022, and June 17, 2022, within the City of Rancho Mirage. Members identified the suspects as John Fisher, a 38-year-old resident of Rancho Mirage, and Thea Rich, a 32-year-old resident of Rancho Mirage. Between the 9 victims identified, they sustained an estimated loss of around $17, 842. Members served a residential search warrant and located an additional 46 stolen checks, along with numerous other identity theft related items. 1237 Hours – Vehicle Theft / Possession of Stolen Property / Forgery / HS / Parole Violation – Members of the Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team, with the assistance of the Indian Wells Special Enforcement Team, responded to the 27000 Block of Sierra Del Sol in reference to a stolen vehicle, which was stolen from the Agua Caliente Casino, in the city of Rancho Mirage the day prior. The driver, Brittany Macauley, 38 of Indio, was arrested for vehicle theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, forgery, and forged vehicle title. Additionally, Michael Jean-Baptiste, 34 of La Quinta, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of parole.
