Richard Hamilton (35 years of Palm Springs) was arrested after a records inquiry revealed he had an active felony warrant issued for carjacking, assault with a deadly weapon and evading the police. 1102 hours – Identity Theft Arrest: Deputy Topping conducted a follow-up in the 71400 block of State Highway 111 in the city of Rancho Mirage. Robert Gutierrez, age 25, out of Indio, was arrested and booked into the John Benoit Detention Center for Identity Theft & Fraudulent Use of an Access Card.  File # S220310049.

1800 hours – Weapon/Violation of PRCS/Narcotics Arrest: While conducting further investigation into a residential burglary that occurred within the City of Rancho Mirage. The Burglary Suppression Unit (B.S.U.) and deputies assigned to the Special Enforcement Team (S.E.T.) conducted a traffic stop at the 82000 block of Indio Blvd. in the city of Indio. Ruben Galindo (39 years of Cathedral City) was found to be on Post Release Community Supervision (P.R.C.S.)

During a search of Galindo’s vehicle, an un-serialized pistol, ammunition, and narcotics were located. Galindo was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm with narcotics and violation of his P.R.C.S. terms. Galindo was booked into the John Benoit Detention Center. File #S220400051.

1300 hours – Burglary/Committing a Felony While on Bail Arrest: Members from the Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team (SET) conducted follow-up to a burglary that occurred on 11/24/21. Deputies identified the suspect as Chance Sawyer, 23 years old from Palm Desert. Sawyer was arrested and booked into the John Benoit Detention Center. File#S21328011

1900 hours- Narcotics/Warrant Arrest: Deputies assigned to the Burglary Suppression Unit (B.S.U.) conducted a traffic stop in the 32200 block of Bob Hope Drive in the City of Rancho Mirage. During the traffic stop, Richard Alvarez (38 years of Indio) and Camesha Roses (26 years of Camarillo) were contacted. Alvarez was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and suspected heroin. A records inquiry revealed Roses had an active fugitive from justice warrant issued for her arrest out of Arizona. Roses was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center.
