Deputy Stuhrmann contacted and arrested Michael Wayne, age 46, a transient of Blythe for a felony evading warrant and several other misdemeanor warrants. 1825 hours – Warrant / 10851 Arrest: Members of the Burglary Suppression Unit (BSU) and Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team (SET) conducted an occupied vehicle check in the 69800 block of State Highway 111 in Rancho Mirage. Members contacted Charles Kirkpatrick, 32 years transient of Palm Desert, who was sitting in the passenger seat of the vehicle. A probation search of the vehicle was conducted, and members located a stolen license plate that was taken off a stolen vehicle from the day prior (reference file #O22004005). A Post Release Community Supervision hold was obtained for Kirkpatrick, and he was booked into the John Benoit Detention Center. File #S220050045.

The vehicle was located, and a stop was conducted at Bob Hope and Follansbee. Patricia Ruiz Valenzuela, age 27 of Indio, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. Licett Duarte, age 22 of Indio, was arrested for public intoxication. Both were booked into the John Benoit Detention Center. File #S220090017

1848 hours – Felon in possession of a baton/ drug paraphernalia/ possession of narcotics: Deputies assigned to the Burglary Suppression Unit (BSU) and the Special Enforcement Team (SET) conducted an occupied vehicle check in the parking lot in the 69500 block of Highway 111, in the city of Rancho Mirage. The driver, Anthony Dongey, and the passenger, Mary Romero had numerous outstanding drug related warrants. A search of the vehicle was conducted and deputies located a collapsible baton along with additional drug paraphernalia and narcotics. Dongey was arrested for being a felon in possession of a collapsible baton and possession of drug paraphernalia. Romero was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of narcotics. While at the location they contacted Kaya Siva (23 years of Cathedral City), Kavonte Kinney (22 years of Cathedral City), and Elijah Robison (34 years of La Quinta). During the service of the search warrant, an unregistered short barrel rifle along with additional firearms, various narcotics, and a stolen Apple MacBook computer were located. 1754 hours – Narcotics Arrest: Deputy Bloomfield responded to Bob Hope Drive and Gerald Ford Drive, regarding a suspicious person. Contacted and arrested was Eric Lara 29 years of San Jacinto, for possession of drug paraphernalia. Lara was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center. File# S220140027.

1847 hours – Driving Under the Influence Arrest: Corporal Perez responded to Bob Hope Drive and Dinah Shore Drive, regarding a reckless driver. Corporal Perez located the vehicle and arrested the driver, Kevin McGuire, 72 Years of Palm Desert, for Driving Under the Influence. McGuire was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center.
