0621 Hours – Driving Under the Influence/Child Endangerment Arrest– Deputy Lara responded to a traffic collision at Hwy 111 and Bob Hope Dr., Rancho Mirage. He located a vehicle which had struck several trees and objects. The driver and three juvenile passengers were stuck in the vehicle and removed by CDF. The driver, Rosalinda Camilo, 33-year-old of La Quinta was found to be intoxicated, while driving with juveniles. Camilo was transported to Eisenhower Medical Center. Camilo will be charged out of custody for driving under the influence and child endangerment. File #S230010013.

0030 hours-Obstructing/Resisting Arrest-Deputy Creiglow was dispatched to the area of Bob Hope Dr. and Highway 111 in the city of Rancho Mirage reference a subject later identified as Einar Jonson-Ragnarsson, 30-year-old transient of Rancho Mirage, standing in the middle of the roadway.  Deputy Creiglow ordered Jonson-Ragnarsson out of the roadway.  Jonson-Ragnarsson refused to follow orders and became uncooperative. Deputy Creiglow attempted to detain Jonson-Ragnarsson, and he refused. Jonson-Ragnarsson was arrested and booked at John Benoit Detention Center. 1130 hours – Driving Under the Influence Arrest – Deputy Prajin was dispatched to a call of a possible drunk driver around Highway 111 and Rancho Las Palmas, in the city of Rancho Mirage. Deputy Prajin contacted the driver, Cezar De Oliveira Tafarel, 32-year-old of San Diego, in the parking lot located near Highway 111 and Dunes View Rd.  Tafarel was found to be under the influence of narcotics and was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of drugs and driving without a license. Carrasco had a felony violation of parole warrant.  Carrasco was arrested for his warrant and booked at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility. File #S230160036

0906 hours –Burglary Arrest- Members of the Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team conducted a follow up investigation regarding a burglary that occurred on September 12, 2022. Sean Michalski, 49-year-old of Riverside and Samuel Negrete, 41-year-old of Jurupa Valley were identified as the suspects involved in the burglary. On January 17, 2023, members, with the assistance of the Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team, Palm Desert Burglary Suppression Unit, Norco Special Enforcement Team, and the Eastvale Special Enforcement team, served a residential search warrant in the city of Riverside and arrested Michalski for burglary, conspiracy and committing a felony while out on bail. Members then conducted a probation check on Negrete at his residence in the city of Jurupa Valley and arrested him for burglary, conspiracy, and violation of formal probation. 0330 Hours–Probation Violation Arrest – Deputy Nulud conducted a traffic enforcement stop near the intersection of Monterey Ave and Dinah Shore Drive, Rancho Mirage. He contacted the driver, Prentiss Spotswood, 37-year-old resident of Desert Hot Springs, who was determined to be on probation. A probation search was conducted, and Deputy Nulud located drug paraphernalia and suspected stolen credit cards. Spotswood was arrested for violation of probation, possession of drug paraphernalia, and fraud. He was booked into John Benoit Detention Center. File #S230180007.

1120 Hours–Arrest Warrant Service– Deputy Paull and members of the Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team contacted, Matthew Crocker, 50-year-old of Rancho Mirage in the area of Bob Hope and Rancho Las Palmas, Rancho Mirage.  Crocker was arrested for outstanding warrants and was transported to John Benoit Detention Center. 1423 Hours–Weapon/Theft Arrest – Deputy Paull responded to the 32200 block of Bob Hope Drive regarding a stolen phone which was tracking at the location. Deputy Paull located the suspect, who was identified as Chad Kibbey, 37-year-old of Palm Desert. A search of the suspect yielded the stolen phone, a 6-inch double bladed knife, and approximately 80 suspected stolen credit cards. Kibbey was arrested for grand theft, possession of a dirk or dagger, and committing a felony while out on bail. He was booked into John Benoit Detention Center. File #S230190050

0303 Hours – Attempted Murder Arrest – Deputies responded to the 32200 block of Bob Hope Drive regarding reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, deputies found a white vehicle with multiple bullet holes and several casings on the ground. Deputy Robles located a disabled, dark-colored Lincoln sedan on Ramon Road, just east of Bob Hope Drive occupied by a male and female. Located in the vehicle were a Glock 43 9mm pistol and a Kimber 1911 45 caliber pistol. Nicholas Mead, 33-year-old of Phoenix, AZ, and Leah Mead, 30-year-old of Phoenix, AZ, were arrested for attempted murder, conspiracy, and various weapons charges. At 0143 hours, Deputies Robles and Lyon located Heddy’s vehicle near San Eljay Street and San Susanna Avenue in Cathedral City.
