1742 Hours–Possession of Controlled Substance Arrest– Deputy Cosby responded to the 71700 block of Highway 111 regarding a male passed out inside of a vehicle and unresponsive in the parking lot.  During the investigation, it was revealed that the suspect, Nathan Howard Brown, 25-year-old of Palm Desert was in possession of a controlled substance and under the influence of a controlled substance. 0056 hours- Driving Under the Influence Arrest- Community Service Officer Martinez located a suspicious vehicle near the intersection of Monterey Avenue and Country Club Drive, Rancho Mirage. Deputy Nulud responded and arrested Daniel Efren Ramirez, 24-year-old of Palm Desert for Driving Under the Influence. Ramirez was transported and booked at John Benoit Detention Center. 0408 hours-Receiving Stolen Property, Child Endangerment, Resisting Arrest- Deputy Granados located a stolen vehicle in the area of Monterey Avenue and Parkview Drive, in the city of Palm Desert.  Deputy Granados attempted to stop the vehicle and the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed.  A pursuit ensued and went through multiple cities. The suspects fled from the vehicle and a perimeter was set up with the assistance of Thermal Station deputies. The suspects were detained without incident.  The juvenile male driver, age 17-year-old of Coachella, was booked at Indio Juvenile Hall.  The additional juvenile passengers were released to their parents. 2011 Hours–Driving Under the Influence, Child Endangerment Arrest– Deputy Lee responded to the 71300 block of Dinah Shore Dr, Rancho Mirage, regarding a suicide threat. Hernan Thomas Casas, 34-year-old male of Hesperia, stated he was going to drive off the mountain with his 5-year-old daughter in the vehicle. Deputy Lee contacted Hernan in the area, and stated he was on probation and admitted to drinking alcohol prior to operating his vehicle. Deputy Lee concluded Hernan was intoxicated and unsafe to operate a vehicle. Hernan was placed under arrest for driving under the influence and child endangerment. 0830 Hours–Arrest Warrant Service/Receiving Stolen Property Arrest– Members of the Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team located a stolen vehicle in the 72200 block of Varner Road in Thousand Palms. Members conducted a felony stop of the vehicle, and the suspect, later identified as Justin Rametes, was taken into custody. Rametes provided members with a false name and date of birth, and with the use of facial recognition, he was positively identified. Rametes had two outstanding felony warrants for weapon charges. Rametes was arrested for his outstanding warrants. Rametes was booked into John Benoit Detention Center. File #S231930023.

2220 hours-Arrest Warrant Service Arrest- Cpl. Lopez and Deputy Cazee responded to the 36100 block of Bob Hope, Rancho Mirage regarding a check the welfare call for service. Deputy Cazee and Cpl. Lopez arrested Adrian Isaias Vallejo Vazquez, 30-year-old of Cathedral City for a felony domestic violence warrant. Vazquez also had three driving under the influence misdemeanor warrants. 0048 hours–Possession of Stolen Vehicle, Possession of Drugs and Paraphernalia Arrest- Deputy Granados located a stolen vehicle in the 69500 block of Highway 111. A felony stop was initiated and Killian Christopher Hefner, 34-year-old transient of Palm Springs, and Joanne Beverly Scheibe, 34-year-old of Palm Springs were detained. During a search of the vehicle, numerous drugs and two glass pipes were located inside the vehicle. Hefner was arrested for possession of stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs. Hefner was booked at John Benoit Detention Center. Scheibe was arrested for two outstanding misdemeanor warrants, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs. Scheibe was released with a citation. File #S232010001

1230 Hours–Grand Theft Arrest– Members of the Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team conducted follow up investigation regarding the grand theft of a community mailbox from the Tuscany community, on June 14, 2023. During the investigation, members identified the suspect as Bryce Cumberland, 39-year-old of Desert Hot Springs. On July 20, 2023, members located Cumberland at an address in Rancho Mirage. Under Miranda, Cumberland admitted to the theft and provided members with the location of the stolen community mailbox. Deputy Delong contacted the driver, Christopher Michael Clove, 48-year-old of Desert Hot Springs, who was on probation. After a search of Clove, Deputy Delong found 1.7 grams of methamphetamine and a glass pipe. Deputy Delong arrested Clove for drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of probation. Clove was transported and booked at John Benoit Detention Center. File #S232070012
