1900 hours – Burglary Arrest:  Burglary Suppression Unit (BSU) members investigated several burglaries in the cities of Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert and Thousand Palms area.  Aaron Raei, 35, Thousand Palms, was identified as a suspect in the burglaries.  BSU members located Raei at the parking lot of the Double Tree Hotel in Cathedral City.  BSU members followed Raei until Palm Desert K-9 units could stop Raei and detain him.  Raei was booked into the Riverside County Jail-Indio for two counts of 459 PC-Burglary and a felony warrant for 530.5 PC

1120 hours – Arrest Warrant: Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team Deputies conducted a pedestrian check at Ramon Road x I-10.  They contacted Scott Stolz, 28 years of 1000 Palms.  Stolz was found to have numerous warrants for his arrest.  He was booked into Indio Jail. File #S191270010.

1614 hours – Arrest Warrant: Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team Deputies conducted a pedestrian check at Bob Hope Drive and Ramon Road, Rancho Mirage.  The Deputies contacted and arrested Ryan Taylor, 34 years of Indio, for an outstanding PRCS (Post Release Community Supervision) Felony warrant.  Taylor was transported and booked into the county jail in Banning.  File #S191270022

2329 Hours -DUI Major Injury Traffic Collision Arrest: While on a traffic stop at Highway 111 and Bob Hope Drive, Deputies witnessed a single vehicle traffic collision at the location. The vehicle veered off the roadway and collided with the traffic signal pole located at the Northwest corner of the intersection. The driver of the vehicle, Kelsey Diaz, 26 years of DHS, sustained significant injuries to her left leg and was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center. Deputies determined Diaz showed symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol. Diaz was cited and released at the hospital to seek further medical treatment. Diaz BAC .14%. File #S191280034

0856 hours – Fraud / Arrest Warrant: Deputies responded to Motel 6, 69-570 Highway 111, Rancho Mirage, regarding a fraud. Deputies contacted Shawn Deans, 29 years, of Cathedral City and Mark Anthony Escobedo, 37 years, of Los Angeles.  Deans was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant for stolen property and vehicle theft.  Deans was found to be in possession of a controlled substance, numerous credit cards, and credit card read / write machines.   Escobedo was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant for violation of post release community supervision (PRCS).  Deans and Escobedo were transported and booked into the county jail in Banning.  The fraud investigation will be forwarded to Palm Desert Station Investigations for further investigation.  File # S191290018

1230 hours – Vehicle Burglary, Conspiracy, Child Endangerment, & Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team, along with Burglary Suppression Unit, served a residential search warrant in the City of Desert Hot Springs that stemmed from a vehicle burglary investigation that occurred on 02-14-19 in the city of Rancho Mirage. During the search of the residence, property was recovered from the vehicle burglary. The residence had numerous narcotic related items that were accessible to a one-year old child that was at the location. Contacted and arrested were Ashley Burgins, 31 years of Desert Hot Springs, and Damian Robinson, 43 years of Rancho Mirage, in connection to the vehicle burglary. Sharon Sanchez, 55 years of Desert Hot Springs, was also contacted at the residence and arrested for an outstanding felony warrant out of Fresno, California for identity theft. All parties were transported and booked into the county jail in Indio.  Burgins was also charged with child endangerment. Child Protective Services was notified and removed the juvenile from the location.  File # S190500014

1700 hours – Possession of a Controlled Substance Arrest:  Deputies conducted a pedestrian check at the Motel 6, located at 69570 Highway 111, Rancho Mirage. Deputies contacted and arrested Michelle Moyer, 33 years of Cathedral City, for possession of methamphetamine.  Moyer was later released with a citation.  File # S191290044

1237 hours –  Petty Theft / Possession of Stolen Property Arrest: Deputies responded to The Home Depot, 34249 Monterey Avenue, Rancho Mirage regarding a theft which just occurred.  The suspect vehicle and suspect descriptions was broadcast and gang units conducting a probation search in Desert Hot Springs observed the vehicle drive past them minutes later.  The Gang Task Force Deputies conducted a vehicle stop at 15525 Mt. View Rd., in Desert Hot Springs and detained the driver and passenger who were later identified by The Home Depot employees.  Stolen tools, identification, and credit cards were located incident to arrest.  Charles Edge, 34 years, of Desert Hot Springs, and David Jones, 35 years, of Desert Hot Springs, were both arrested and booked in the Indio Jail.  File #S191300034.

2026 hours – Drunk in Public Arrest:  Deputies were dispatched to Gelson’s, located at 36101 Bob Hope, Rancho Mirage regarding an intoxicated subject.  Upon arrival they contacted Linda Burke (71) of Cathedral City inside the store.  Burke was unable to care for herself and was arrested for violation of 647 (f) PC.  After obtaining an OK to Book, Burke was booked into Riverside County Jail, Indio. File #S191300052.

2320 hours – Drunk in Public Arrest: Deputies were dispatched to Agua Caliente Casino for an overly intoxicated person.  The Deputy contacted Crystal Osman (40) of Desert Hot Springs.  She was unable to care for herself and was arrested for violation of 647 (f) PC.  Osman was later booked into Riverside County Jail, Indio. File #S191300058.

Further investigation revealed Waterman was also wanted regarding a burglary in Palm Springs.  PSPD Detectives were notified (PSPD Case #1905P0582).  Waterman was booked into Indio Jail.  File #S191330010

0936 hours – Attempted Murder/Assault with a Deadly Weapon/Shooting at an inhabited dwelling: Deputies from the Rancho Mirage Police Department responded to the 140 block of Capri Street, Rancho Mirage reference multiple shots fired heard.  Upon deputies’ arrival, Eugene Mueller, 75 years of Rancho Mirage, barricaded himself inside his residence.   Riverside County Sheriff SWAT responded and assumed the investigation.  After a brief standoff, Mueller was arrested and transported to the county jail in Indio.  Palm Desert Station Investigations assumed the investigation. 2228 hours – DUI Arrest: Rancho Mirage D.U.I. Enforcement Officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop at Highway 111 and Desert Crossing, Palm Desert.  The Deputies contacted and arrested David Camarena, 24 years of Thermal, for being under the influence of marijuana.  Camarena submitted to a blood test.  Camarena was transported and booked into the county jail in Indio.  File # S191430052.

2326 hours – Under the Influence / Trespassing: Deputies responded to Agua Caliente Casino located at 32-250 Bob Hope Drive, Rancho Mirage regarding trespassing incident. Deputies contacted and arrested Mandy Hoffman, 48 years of Indio, for being under the influence.  Hoffman was transported to the county jail in Indio.  File # S191430054.

1448 hours – Domestic Violence Past Investigation:  Deputies responded to the Motel 6 on Highway 111 in Rancho Mirage regarding a past domestic battery.  The victim stated her husband of nine years, Samuel Yehudah, 35 of Brooklyn Center, MN, struck her 4-5 times on the head while they were driving from Anza to Rancho Mirage on 5/21/19 causing visible injuries.  Yehudah struck the victim two more times in the parking lot and threatened to beat her or kill her if she reported the incident to police.  Probable Cause statement is in the Deputies box and the suspect is most likely in Korea or Vegas. 1525 hours – Public Intoxication: Deputies responded to Westin Mission Hills, 71333 Dinah Shore Drive, Rancho Mirage, regarding a suspicious person. The deputy contacted Landis Gibbs, 30 years, transient, just released from RPDC.  Gibbs was arrested for Public Intoxication and booked in the Indio Jail. File # S191450026
