0757 hours – Attempted Murder / Kidnapping: Deputies responded to the 39-000 block of Bob Hope Drive, regarding a subject who had a gunshot wound. Deputies arrived and spoke with the nurses who advised the victim stated that he had been kidnapped by his ex-boyfriend, James Brown, age 51 of Cathedral City. According to the victim, he was kidnapped from his home in the 37-600 block of Palo Verde Drive in Cathedral City. The suspect, Brown fled the area and is outstanding. The Cathedral City Police Department responded to the hospital and took over the investigation. File #S221210014

1400 hours – Grand Theft, Numerous Narcotics and Firearms Violation Arrests: Deputies assigned to the Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team located a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle used during the theft of packages from porches. A traffic stop was conducted and both suspects were arrested. A search of the vehicle revealed a loaded 9mm pistol with a 50-round drum magazine and a shoulder-mount stabilizer, 481 grams of fentanyl, 62 grams of methamphetamine, and 20 grams of cocaine. Property from the package thefts was located inside the vehicle and will be returned to the victim. Dale Adams, a 38-year-old resident of Yucca Valley, was arrested for Grand Theft, numerous narcotics and firearms violations, and multiple outstanding arrest warrants. Mallory Bauer, a 31-year-old resident of Temecula, was arrested for Grand Theft. Both suspects were booked into the John Benoit Detention Center in the city of Indio. File # S221380039 / S221340031.

2253 hours – Arrest Warrant Service: While responding to a call for service, Deputy D. Garcia noticed a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle.  The vehicle was determined to be unrelated to the call for service.  An occupant of the vehicle, Tristan John Hubb, 27 years old of Cathedral City, was arrested for two felony warrants.  File #S221380070

1528 hours – Warrant Arrest: Deputies from the Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team conducted a pedestrian check on Highway 111 and Paxton. Arrested was Jesus Ramirez, age 44, from Palm Springs, for three outstanding felony warrants for Burglary, Assault with a deadly weapon, and vandalism and two outstanding misdemeanor warrants for narcotics and theft-related charges. 0300 – Driving Under the Influence Checkpoint Results: Deputies assigned to the Rancho Mirage Traffic Team conducted a D.U.I. checkpoint at Highway 111 and Library Way, on 5/20/22. Deputies screened 581 of 1,370 vehicles, which went through the checkpoint. 19 drivers were arrested and cited for driving without a license or having a suspended license.

Deputy Broughton arrested Brandon Brower, 29 years, of Palm Desert for D.U.I.

Deputy Sanchez arrested Ofelia Young, 51 years, of Rancho Mirage for D.U.I.

Deputy Kemper arrested Marcos Hernandez, 46 years, of Cathedral City, for an outstanding Stolen Vehicle felony warrant.
