1041 hours-Arrest Warrant Service Arrest- Deputy Dorantes responded to the area of Highway 111 and Bob Hope Drive, Rancho Mirage, regarding a call for service. Contacted was, Jayson Ellis, 33-year-old of Palm Springs. Deputy Dorantes conducted a records check on Ellis, who had two misdemeanor warrants. Ellis was transported and booked at John Benoit Detention Center. File #S231220024

1500 hours-Vehicle Burglary/Credit Card Fraud Arrest- On April 10, 2023, Community Service Officer DeLara responded to the 72200 block of Country Club Drive, Rancho Mirage, reference the report of a vehicle burglary and fraudulent use of the victim’s credit cards. Deputy Paull assumed the investigation and conducted follow up regarding the case. With the assistance of Community Service Officer Albenesius, video surveillance footage was obtained from the locations where the credit cards were used. With that evidence, the suspect was identified as Aaron Raei, 39-year-old of Palm Springs. On May 2, 2023, Raei was located at the 40100 block of Monterey Avenue and was taken into custody without incident. During this time, Raei was driving the vehicle he used during the vehicle burglary. Raei was transported and booked at John Benoit Detention Center. File #S231000055.

0155 Hours–False Identification to Police Officer Arrest– Deputy Cosby responded to the 41000 block of Rancho Las Palmas regarding a suspicious person. During the course of the investigation, the suspect, Michelle Dawn Powers, 48-year-old of Los Angeles, consistently provided deputies a false name, and refused to provide her real name until deputies retrieved her Driver License from her vehicle. Powers was booked at John Benoit Detention Center for providing false identification to a police officer. File #S231240003
