0645 hours – Possession of a Stolen Vehicle/Narcotics Arrest – Deputy Broughton located an occupied stolen vehicle in the 69500 block of Highway 111, Rancho Mirage.  The driver of the vehicle, Marissa Fontalvo, 35 years of Palm Springs, was on active probation.  Fontalvo was arrested for possession of stolen property, possession of narcotics, and violation of probation. He located and contacted the driver, Jamie Reams, 33-year-old resident of Desert Hot Springs. Deputy Kemper determined Reams was driving under the influence. 0230 Hours – Public Intoxication / Resisting Arrest – Community Service Officer DeLara located an occupied vehicle parked on Da Vall Drive near Dinah Shore Drive. Deputy Robles responded and located the driver, Dagoberto Vazquez, 24-year-old resident of Cathedral City. Vazquez was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. Vazquez refused to exit the vehicle and as a result, was removed him from the vehicle. No injuries were sustained by Vazquez or Deputy Robles. Deputy Earley contacted and arrested Richard Ponce, 57 years old of Palm Springs, for several outstanding misdemeanor warrants. 1544 Hours – Resisting and Warrant Arrest – Rancho Mirage SET Deputy Earley responded to the 32200 block of Bob Hope Drive regarding a known wanted person on the property. Deputy Earley contacted Carlos Rivas, 38 years old of Coachella, near the pool area. Rivas began running while reaching into his pocket. Deputy Earley deployed his taser and was able to apprehend Rivas. Rivas was booked into John Benoit Detention Center for an outstanding felony warrant, several misdemeanor warrants and resisting a peace officer. File #S222860049

Investigation revealed the license plate did not match the vehicle description. Deputy Nulud contacted the driver, Foley Chase, 36-year-old of Desert Hot Springs, who admitted to falsifying the license plate to avoid registration fees under Miranda Rights.
