0029 Hours–Public Intoxication Arrest– Deputy Granados responded to 70200 block of Highway 111, Rancho Mirage, reference a report of a man down in the area. Deputy Granados contacted Robert Staich, 71-year-old of Palm Desert. Staich displayed objective symptoms of being intoxicated and was unable to care for himself. Staich was placed under arrest and booked at John Benoit Detention Center. File #S232440001.0955 Hours–Arrest Warrant Service Arrest- Deputy Barto responded to the 32200 block Bob Hope Drive in the City of Rancho Mirage reference an intoxicated subject. Contacted was Taylor Hodge, 28-year-old of Rancho Mirage. Hodge also had multiple felony warrants. Hodge was arrested and booked at John Benoit Detention Center. File #S232440013.

0730 Hours–Possession of a stolen vehicle/Receiving known stolen property arrest– On September 3, 2023, Deputy Paull located a stolen vehicle, in the area of Ramon Road and Bob Hope Drive, Rancho Mirage. A felony stop of the vehicle was conducted and the driver, Michael Blundell, 48-year-old resident of Yucca Valley, was arrested without incident. Blundell was also in possession of 34 “M-30” pills and 2.8 grams of methamphetamine. Blundell was transported and booked at John Benoit Detention Center. File #S232460006

1130 Hours–Possession of a stolen vehicle/Receiving known stolen property arrest-Deputies responded to the area of Monterey Avenue and Ramon Road reference a trespassing call for service. Contacted was Cody Abbott, who was wanted for a golf cart theft from a business in the City of Rancho Mirage on July 25, 2023. The Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team conducted follow up investigation and identified Abbott as the suspect. Under Miranda, Abbott admitted to taking the golf cart, but refused to admit where he took it from. Abbott is also responsible for 2 additional golf cart thefts from the same area. Abbott was transported and booked at John Benoit Detention Center. File #S232060010.

1510 Hours–Arrest Warrant Service Arrest – Members of the Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team responded to a call of a suspicious person in the area of Frank Sinatra Drive and Highway 111, Rancho Mirage. Contacted was Robert Noonkester, 30-year-old of Cathedral City, in the area of Highway 111 and Date Palm Drive. Noonkester matched the description of the subject in the initial call for service who ran from deputies. Noonkester was taken into custody without further incident. Noonkester was transported and booked at John Benoit Detention Center. File #S232470027

0235 Hours-Arrest Warrant Service Arrest- Deputy Nelson observed a suspicious vehicle driving in the area of Tamarisk Lane and Palm View Road. A DMV records check of the vehicle showed the vehicle had expired registration and a traffic enforcement stop was initiated. The driver, Justine Roushall 34-year-old transient of Palm Springs, had a felony warrant for possession of stolen property and the passenger, John Tschasar, 54-year-old transient of Palm Springs, had several misdemeanor warrants. Both Roushall and Tschasar were transported and booked into John Benoit Detention Center. File #S232340004

2020 Hours-Stolen Vehicle Arrest-Deputy Broughton located an occupied, stolen vehicle in the 71800 block of Highway 111, Rancho Mirage.  The driver, Leah Christy, 70-year-old of Joshua Tree, was detained without incident.  Christy was listed as the suspect of the theft per the stolen vehicle system. Christy was arrested and transported to John Benoit Detention Center.  File #S232480070

0800 Hours-Burglary Arrest-Palm Desert Station’s Burglary Suppression Unit, along with the Rancho Mirage and the Indian Wells Special Enforcement Team, served a search warrant in the 1900 block of Business Center Dr., San Bernardino.  The search warrant stemmed from a vehicle burglary in Rancho Mirage on August 30, 2023. As a result, Julio Pasillas, 36-year-old of San Bernardino, was arrested for burglary, and Manuel Mendez, 49-year-old of San Bernardino, was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant.  Pasillas was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center for burglary, and Mendez was booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center. 1218 Hours-Arrest Warrant Service Arrest-Members of the Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team conducted a pedestrian check in the area of Bob Hope Drive and Columbia Drive in the city of Rancho Mirage. Members contacted and arrested Nathan Riddle, 47-year-old of Cathedral City, for an outstanding violation of a court restraining order. Riddle was transported and booked at John Benoit Detention Center. File #S232500021

1506 Hours-Arrest Warrant Service Arrest– Members of the Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team conducted a bike stop at the intersection of Frank Sinatra Drive and Highway 111. Members contacted and arrested John Hubbes, 54-year-old of Palm Desert, for an outstanding felony warrant. During a search incident to arrest, Hubbes was found to be in possession of 10 grams of powdered Fentanyl. Deputy Sepulveda contacted and arrested Michael Brandon Duncan, 39-year-old of Palm Desert for several outstanding warrants. Deputy Sepulveda also located suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in Duncan’s possession. Duncan was transported and booked at John Benoit Detention Center. File #S232530007

They contacted and arrested Justin Gill, 37-year-old of Cathedral City. Gill provided a false name, and it was later learned he had a felony parole violation warrant for his arrest. 0420 hours-Under the Influence of Drugs, Resisting Arrest, Attempt to Take Officer’s Firearm Arrest– Deputy Lee conducted a pedestrian check in the 69500 block of Highway 111, Rancho Mirage. Contacted was Armando Ferrer, 22-year-old of Cathedral City. Ferrer displayed objective symptoms of being under the influence of drugs. Deputies attempted to detain Ferrer, but Ferrer advised if deputies touched him, he would kill them.  While Deputies were attempting to arrest Ferrer, Ferrer tried to break free and attempted to grab Deputy Lee’s firearm.  Ferrer was subsequently detained without further incident. Ferrer was booked at John Benoit Detention Center.
